Pietersen reflects ODI returns

Tuesday, July 10, 2012 | 0 comments

Kevin Pietersen has said that there is still a possibility that it could play cricket "cue" for England again despite retiring from international matches in limited off.

However, the South Africa-born batsman in - which is still a test cricketer - said he needs a drastic change to England's busy schedule for him to consider a return to one day and Twenty20 matches for his adopted country.

"I had my wife, mother, father, mother, brothers and my best mates of all I said, 'Do not you wish you were there batting against Australia (in the course of a day in the series)? Pietersen Daily Mail said Monday.

"And I told you I have not missed at all. But maybe I just needed a break. Who knows, I've played a lot of cricket in the last seven years."

Asked if he would consider retiring from international cricket two shorter formats, the 32-year-old said: "Never say never I'm much older and more mature than some years ago, so it never known ..

"Anything can happen. I'll never say no, but the program should be a hell of a lot different for me to return. Wait and see."

Pietersen, one of the undoubted stars 'box office' of world cricket, he calls off his international career management limited when England denied his desire to continue playing while quitting Twenty20s 50 overs by one dayers .

He was said to be available for both formats amid concerns that otherwise would be the next to 50 on weakened by several players follow the example of Pietersen.

Pietersen, the man of the tournament when England won the World Twenty20 in the Caribbean two years ago, still harbors the hope of helping a hand to defend his title in Sri Lanka in September.

"I have hope that there might be a compromise for the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka," he said. "The team has not been announced.

"I love to play on that and defend our title with England. If this happens, great, but I'm not holding my breath."

The geography of England means that, uniquely among the countries of cricket, you are guaranteed almost a year-long program of international cricket.

But critics insist that Pietersen could have continued playing for England in the three major formats and yet have given yourself a break if you had chosen the lucrative Twenty20 Indian Premier League.

But Pietersen, said he hoped that he, or other world stars, losing the IPL was not realistic and that their participation was not simply a matter of cash.

"Okay, the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) can tell me to play in the IPL makes it hard for me to rest, but what bothers me is that with every other board the IPL is a question of fact. Not will disappear, "he said.

"It's going to be there and the players want to play on it. Players want to go and earn your money and do not let that decisions will be made.

"Great players want to play in front of large audiences. Want to hear his name chanted by 50,000 people. It's amazing. It makes you feel so good.

"The window for which has been created by the advice of others, but unfortunately not ours."

England have so far held up well, without Pietersen and lead Australia 3-0 in a game of five a day ahead of the final series on Tuesday at Old Trafford.

In particular, Ian Bell, since being called up next to a day in the place as an opener Pietersen has scored 364 runs in five innings at an impressive average of 72.8.

Injury to insult

To add injury to insult at the end of a hard day at the office, saw Australia as Brett Lee, who managed to lose just 14 deliveries, and Shane Watson picked up injuries.

His decision to choose five seamers at least give a lot captain Michael Clarke, of options, but really only Clint McKay (2-29) looked dangerous, including the ending time an open position of 70 when he had Alastair Cook trapped in the cutting deck 29.

Bell also perished in the same player via an inside edge on the stumps, but Trott - who became the fourth fastest batsman to pass 2,000 ODI runs - followed the example of his colleague in Warwickshire with a single rate half a century.

For long periods it seemed likely that England is pursued much less than 201, although it did not help his cause shedding four times, Clarke and Hussey both being pardoned twice, while unfortunately also had a LBW decision.

Finn and the new ball partner James Anderson (2-34) is not limited to Australia 15-2 in the opening of 10 credits, its worst result ever PowerPlay, after Captain Cook, has not hesitated to apply for the first drink.

However, even the average rate of Bopara caused problems, the road going for only 29 runs in his nine acquisitions and also collect the scalps of George Bailey, with a near-perfect delivery that clipped the bail out.

At this stage, Australia had lost three windows, the removal of Finn David Warner, who had needed 16 balls to leave the mark, and Peter Forrest low birth weight in successive deliveries.

Charmed Life

Clarke survived the ball hat-trick at the start of an innings of 43 magical, Eoin Morgan bombed a clear shot at point back when he was still in single digits, while Anderson could not get a chance to dive much harder on your left at the first slip.

The let-off allowed the right-hander put on 51 with Watson (28), although the latter was not as fortunate as their leader when he cut Tim Bresnan have fought so hard.

Clarke's luck eventually ran out when he was cleared by Finn, who immediately sent Matthew Wade, when wicketkeeper spectacular clung to an inner edge.

Hussey and Lee (27) shared seventh place a certain window of 70 to give Australia hope to bowl some cases, but never seemed enough.

Indeed, England canter to the ninth straight victory a day to close the gap with its rivals in the standings. While they can not take over at the summit, with the side of Cook will be gunning for a win of 4-0 when the two sides round things on a day-all night at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
