Badminton Venue for the 2012 Summer Olympics

Badminton will be celebrating its 20th anniversary as an official sport of the Olympic medal during the 2012 Games in London. After a long odyssey from being a demonstration sport at the 1972 Munich Games, badminton, finally became a medal competition at the Olympic Games of Barcelona 1992.

 

This year, in London, badminton events will be held at Wembley Arena and world-renowned historical, it really was last used in the Olympics for swimming competitions in the 1948 London Games. While the Wembley Arena no longer has a pool, which has hosted live performances by famous artists and sporting events in the 62 years since the last time the London Olympics.
