For the third time this season, Jamie Moyer has found a team that is willing to take a chance on his 49-year-old arm.

According to Shannon Drayer of MyNorthwest.com, Moyer is going to sign with the Toronto Blue Jays and begin its journey back to the majors at Triple-A team of rotation:

Moyer has become much more publicity and opportunities this season that his talent deserves. He was given a spot in the rotation of Colorado, leaving spring training, especially because the Rockies do not have enough weapons to fill a party of five years, as we are seeing right now.

After posting a 5.70 ERA and allowing 75 hits in 53.2 innings with Colorado, was released in late May.

Never one to give up, Moyer signed with the Baltimore Orioles and pitched at Triple-A rotation. Since the team had no plans to bring it up to the big leagues, Moyer requested and was granted his release over the weekend.

The Blue Jays, who have had some problems with launch of its own, apparently saw enough in Moyer at least give it a try. Until a contract is signed, we will not know exactly what the plan for him.

Given Moyer wanted out of Baltimore because there was no place for him in the rotation, the Blue Jays must have told him something he liked.

Put Moyer in the American League East is a recipe for disaster. In fact, putting Moyer in the friendly confines to the batters of the Pacific Coast League is not something that will bring success to him or the team.

Good for Moyer. He continues to show the equipment is not much, but still giving opportunities.
